K & P S – Fareham

Having arrived at the point where we were unable to lift our daughter in and out of our family car single handed and therefore only able to take her out when there were 2 adults available, the time had come when we needed to find a wheelchair accessible vehicle, a task we were dreading as we had on numerous occasions entered the world of WAVs only to be bitterly disappointed.  However after a Google for local companies and making contact with Patrick at Southern Mobility Vehicles our search took a turn for the better!  Patrick has a wealth of WAV experience, agreed with me that the choice of vehicle was limited and often (well mostly) not stylish, but he appreciated what we were looking for and suggested we visit SMV and take a look at what was available.

Patrick took time to listen and understand our priorities, our daughter has disabilities but like any other teenager wanted a vehicle that suited her age and sense of style.  Having established that the Berlingos, Rifters and Caddys were not for her, Patrick introduced us to the Kia Soul, a WAV that didn’t look like a Popemobile/Postman Pat van, what a revelation! Once he’d established that the vehicle could accommodate Isabella safely, we all agreed that this was as near to perfect as we were going to find for the foreseeable future.  Our daughter loves her shiny ‘Chanel Rouge’ Kia Soul and her newfound sense of independence and freedom, her face lights up at the mere mention of her car and we are very grateful to Patrick and his colleagues at SMV for taking the time to help us to navigate the WAV world.  We would definitely recommend SMV.
